VIRTUAL EVENT

Join us virtually anytime between 1st - 7th of May to walk 5km or run 10km, so that women and children can walk away from violence

Benefits of walking virtually

Flexible

Walk anytime, anywhere between 1st - 7th of May 2023. This may include inside of work hours if you're walking with your workplace, or on the weekend if you are doing it with friends or family members. *If you have Strava, don't forget to integrate your account with your Walk For WAGEC fundraising page to track your walk!

Accessible

If you are a workplace or team living or working outside of Sydney, come together by walking virtually. Remember, teams can include both in-person and virtual walkers!

Supported

All virtual walkers will receive a check-in call the week before virtual week to answer any questions you may have. If you're hosting a virtual walk, please reach out to fundraising@wagec.org.au and we can arrange for a WAGEC representative to attend your virtual walk!

.

Inclusive

No matter where you’re living, all virtual walkers will receive a Walk for WAGEC Welcome Kit in the mail when they register, which includes our signature Walk for WAGEC T-shirt.

You can also tag #walkforwagec to be included on WAGEC’s socials during Virtual Event Week, follow along the campaign with your fellow virtual walkers online, and stay up to date with the fundraising tally on the Walk for WAGEC website.

Walk for WAGEC charges a $25 registration fee per person (children under 18 walk free). This fee helps to cover the cost of running the event and includes a Walk for WAGEC t-shirt for each registered participant.

We acknowledge we are walking on stolen Aboriginal Land. If you identify as a First Nations person, you are not required to pay a registration fee. Please get in touch via fundraising@wagec.org.au to have your fee waived.

We also know that times are tough right now. If you are experiencing financial hardship please email fundraising@wagec.org.au
