Have the hard conversations

Tuesday 23rd Apr
Women's & Girls' Emergency Centre (WAGEC) supports 200 women and children every night who are impacted by homelessness, DV and systemic disadvantage. They equally seek to address the underlying causes of gender-based violence through primary prevention activities with communities and private/public entities that want to be apart of the global movement to end gender based violence in a generation.

On May 5th (Sunday) myself along with some friends of mine will be Walking for Wagec to raise money so women and children can walk away from violence.

Despite the gravity of the cause, Walk Day is a vibrant celebration of community, so whether you want to walk solo, with a team or your workplace - every step makes a positive difference in the lives of women and children.

If you want to get involved or are seeking assistance yourself - visit their website that is linked in the comments.

Call out things that you don’t agree with. Have the hard conversations. Don’t remain silent.
