Domestic violence is the leading cause of homelessness for women and children in Australia. Many women who leave unsafe relationships have nowhere to go. WAGEC offers crisis accommodation and case management to keep women and children safe and enable them to prepare for their next step.
The impacts of domestic violence on women and their children are devastating and long-lasting. Holistic, wrap-around support is desperately needed.
WAGEC offers tailored programs to support women and their children to recover from trauma and programs to support women to build confidence and skills needed to gain employment, so they have the financial independence to care for themselves and their children, and to go on to thrive in their lives.
