I’ve walked for the past three years because it was the least I could do to spread the word about WAGEC and the amazing work that they do, to advocate for the people who advocate for those who need it.
To show support for WAGEC through this walk is to support the organisations that once helped me through a difficult time in my life.
Event day is community. It is a warm embrace from people who care. It is people lifting each other up. And there are so many dogs!

The weight of the work we do across WAGEC can sometimes make it hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel; but if ever there was anything to restore our faith that change is coming, it’s the power our community holds when we come together.
Every step, story and conversation is a reminder that we are not alone in this work. It really feels like hope in action. This movement matters because safety shouldn’t be a privilege, and it’s powerful to see so many people standing together for that.
