We're walking to end violence against women and children.

My sister Mel (birds) & I are walking to call for an end to violence against women and children… something that’s so super close to our hearts.

My mum, my sister, myself, my aunty, my grandmother and my kids have been impacted first hand by DV and the subsequent homelessness it can result in. Not to mention the hundreds of women I call my friends, who are facing it or have too throughout their lives. 

Domestic violence is a national crisis that kills one woman every eleven days. Already 49 women, and 19 children have been murdered due to DV in our country just in the last 8 months 💔

We are taking on this challenge (on my birthday!) to demand action and raise funds for women and children impacted by domestic violence - it’s been a serious problem for far too long, and its incidence and prevalence is getting worse. Enough deaths & trauma 😭
