Why it matters to me as an advocate

As a male advocate, I believe it's crucial for men and women to come together in open, honest conversations about this issue—to raise awareness, challenge harmful attitudes, and drive real change. From the influence of social media on young, impressionable minds, to the lack of adequate mental health support across the board, to the deeply entrenched systems of patriarchy that shape our society—these are just a few of the many interconnected factors that contribute to domestic violence and broader violence against women and children. Addressing this problem requires more than just support services for those affected; we also need long-term, preventative solutions through education, cultural shifts, and meaningful reform to create a safe environment for all.
