I'm running 10K to raise awareness about violence against women and children.
I’m running 10km on 13 September around Centennial Park to help raise awareness and support for women and children impacted by domestic violence.
Violence against women and children remains a devastating issue in Australia, and behind every statistic are individuals and families who deserve safety, support and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
I’m taking on this challenge to raise funds for vital services that provide safe accommodation, practical support and care for those experiencing domestic violence.
If you’re able to donate, I’d be incredibly grateful for your support. Every contribution, no matter the size, can help make a meaningful difference.
What my fundraising can go towards
Every donation can help provide practical, immediate support to women and children experiencing domestic violence:
- $55 can provide a mother with a Welcome Pack, including toiletries, PJs and other essential items.
- $89 can provide one night of safe accommodation for a mother and child fleeing violence, including a bed, shower, fresh blankets and access to pantry items.
- $120 can provide one week’s worth of groceries for a woman and child experiencing violence.
- $267 can provide three nights of safe accommodation for a woman and child.
- $510 can help give six women access to counselling services, supporting them as they heal from trauma and rebuild their lives.
Every contribution, big or small, can help provide safety, dignity and support when it’s needed most. Thank you for supporting me and, more importantly, the women and children this fundraiser is here to help.
