WHY VOLUNTEER
Volunteering is a meaningful way to support women and children in crisis while connecting with a passionate and values-aligned community.
Whether you’ve supported WAGEC for years or are joining us for the first time, we’d love to have you involved.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Walk for WAGEC takes place on Sunday 13 September 2026 at Centennial Park, Sydney.
Volunteer roles include registration support, event stalls, course marshals, clean-up crew, cheer squads and event support.
Volunteers will receive refreshments and opportunities to connect throughout the day.
WHO CAN VOLUNTEER
We welcome volunteers aged 18 and over who are passionate about supporting women and children impacted by violence.
All volunteers will need a Working with Children Check, National Police Check and Photo ID. If you do not currently hold a WWCC, we would encourage you to start the application process now.
WHAT’S INVOLVED
Volunteer inductions will take place virtually before the event.
Volunteers will work alongside WAGEC staff to help create a safe, welcoming and empowering event experience for all participants.
