WALK WITH YOUR WORKPLACE TO CALL FOR AN END TO VIOLENCE
One in six women in Australia’s workforce have experienced domestic violence. By walking together, your workplace can help fund safety, healing and prevention programs for women and children in crisis.
Workplace teams receive additional support, resources and the option to participate remotely from anywhere in Australia.
WAYS YOUR WORKPLACE CAN WALK
Join us on event day
Join us at Church Grounds, Centennial Park on Sunday 13 September 2026 for a morning of movement, community and solidarity.
Or walk remotely
Can’t make it to Sydney?
Your workplace can complete the walk or run remotely. Participate from anywhere in Australia and help raise funds to break the cycle of violence.
Every step counts.
HOW TO REGISTER YOUR WORKPLACE
01. Choose your Workplace Captain
Your Workplace Captain registers first and creates the workplace fundraising page. Make sure your team name is easy for others to find.
02. Join your team
Team members can then register and select “Join an existing team” during sign up.
03. Let the fun begin
Share your fundraising page, rally your colleagues, and work together to support women and children escaping violence.
join the movement
Walking with your workplace is a powerful statement of solidarity and support for women and children experiencing violence in your community. By bringing your colleagues together, you'll not only strengthen workplace bonds and enjoy the benefits of getting active, you'll also be part of a larger movement making real change.
Be a workplace champion
One in six women in Australia’s workforce have experienced domestic violence. By walking for WAGEC, your workplace is helping create safer futures for women and children impacted by violence.
Workplace Champions will receive additional support and resources from the WAGEC team to help kickstart fundraising and make an impact together.
Make an impact
In Australia, one woman is killed by an intimate partner every 11 days.
By walking with your workplace, you and your colleagues can help fund safe accommodation, recovery support and violence prevention programs for women and children in crisis.
Every dollar raised helps women and children access safety, healing and support.
Connect with your colleagues
Walk together at Centennial Park on event day or join remotely from anywhere in Australia.
It’s a meaningful way to bring your team together, build community and rally around an important cause – with a little healthy competition along the way.

IN THEIR WORDS
“Walk for WAGEC is an amazing show of love and support from our community. It brings together people from all walks of life in a beautiful sea of sunflower yellow and lavender purple, all celebrating the amazing work the team at WAGEC commit themselves to each and every day. This work is so very important to so many people, and makes such a meaningful difference to so many lives. Walk for WAGEC strengthens my belief in the good in the world and that positive change is possible if we all unite. The funds raised from previous year's Walks has enabled WAGEC to do so much more good in the world, and I am incredibly proud to be a part of it.”
- Derek Brinkman, WAGEC AMBASSADOR AND Employee of corporate supporter Westpac
